TCML華語文學習中心

Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning(TCML, http://www.tzuchiacademyli.org/tcml.html ) at Tzu Chi Academy Long Island(TCALI, http://www.tzuchiacademyli.org/ ) offers three semester courses per academic year, with a total of 24 classes, 3 hours in each class. Our curriculum is based on materials provided by the Overseas Community Affairs Council, “Let’s Learn Mandarin”, supplemented with topical and contemporary resources to ensure students receive a well-rounded education. The first and second sessions of class are language learning plus teaching Taiwanese cultural characteristics, such as traditional folk skills, traditional festivals, arts, etc. The third session is cultural class, which includes: dragon and lion dance, calligraphy, tea ceremony, flower arrangement, making Tanghulu (sugar-coated fruit on a stick), painted lanterns, folk snacks, etc. Our communicative teaching style emphasizes practical, real-life situations, enabling students to build confidence and fluency in Mandarin quickly.

長島慈濟人文學校(http://www.tzuchiacademyli.org/ )臺灣華語文學習中心(http://www.tzuchiacademyli.org/tcml.html )每學年有三期課程，共24堂課，每堂課包含語文課2小時，文化課1小時。主要教材為僑委會所提供針對成人零起點開發的《來！學華語》第一、二堂課是語言課並教授台灣文化特色，例如傳統民俗技藝、傳統節日、藝術等。第三堂是文化課，內容包括：舞龍舞獅、書法、茶道、花道、糖葫蘆製作、彩繪燈籠、民俗小吃等。我們期待透過實用、真實的生活情境教學，讓學生能夠快速建立自信並流利地使用華語。

從1月至3月，4月至6月，9月至12月

上課時間：每週日09:00 am ~ 12:00 pm
